When the libs attack unions, are they attacking the working cl aussie's?

Ive heard Hockey and his fellow libs constantly portray unions in a negative light, is this because they are trying to undermine their opposition. Does anyone remember the blood sweat and tears that went into the forming of unions, as well as the thousands of lives that were saved by unions demanding basic rights for workers. If these rights are lost how long will it take to get them back? Isnt it true that unions have done alot of good things for working cl Australians too. Why does the public service have the only strong union left? Will we hear the truth about the changing conditions in the work place or will individual contracts create an enviornment of division and prevent people from disclosing abuses on their basic rights in the work place, like equal pay and conditions?
