Wants to join the marching band but only plays piano?

I want to join my high school marching band but i only play the piano. I dont know what theyll tell me to do about this yet: to choose another instrument to play OR that i cant join unless i play a percussion instrument or something. please tell me if YOU or anybody you know has ever joined a school marching band but ONLY played the piano.. thank you very much! :D
