Why am I swelling (Edema) all of a sudden?

I quit smoking 6-7 months ago, I recently started a low dose Estrogen and baby asprin for menopause, I'm sure I was swelling prior to starting the Estrogen. Could either of these cause edema? Diurectics are helping, but I still feel like I'm about to explode.
